Dr. Reiskind received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1989 after graduating with bachelors with honors in engineering science and mechanics at Georgia Tech. Board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with an additional board certification in Brain Injury Medicine though 2024, he served as a guest examiner on multiple occasions for the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
As the medical director of Bayfront’s acute rehabilitation unit, which in 2017 and 2018, earned the distinction of a top 10% in the nation program by the nation’s largest rehabilitation quality measurement program. He has been active over the years in a number of hospital committees including Safety, Standards and Credentials, Bylaws, Disaster Preparedness and Medical Staff Proficiency. He completed 4 years as the Chief of the Medical Staff of Bayfront Health St. Petersburg in December 2020. He continues to serve as medical director for NeuroRestorative-Clearwater, a community brain injury program.
He serves as the chairperson of the board of PEL, a 501(C)3 nonprofit foundation, he was instrumental in creating this foundation to provide support for the residency programs of the hospital, community physician education and leadership development, and physician driven community health initiatives. He has received community wide recognition for youth education. He and his wife have been honored by the regional office of the Development Corporation for Israel for support of State of Israel bonds. He and his wife have been married for 30 years and have 2 adult children.
